I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in Boston with a bachelor's degree in Classics. After graduation, I attended the University of Arizona, where I earned my master's degree in Classics with a focus on Archaeology. Now, I am considering enrolling in a law program. My tutoring experience began in high school, where I worked with special needs students in History, Math, and English. As I worked toward my master's degree, I served as a mentor and teaching assistant for students from a variety of diverse foundations. I enjoy tutoring a wide range of subjects, but my favorite subject is European History. I love to teach students how historic events continue to impact our lives today. I am also well-versed in tutoring standard and AP-level World History and European History, Latin, Grammar and Mechanics, Writing, and Public Speaking. As a tutor, I teach my students to use logic to identify answers that can be quickly eliminated before we work as a team to find the correct answer. Then, to assess my students' understanding, I like to have them teach me the material. This helps me gauge their current level of knowledge so that I can help them master the material. When I'm not tutoring, I love to play ice hockey. I was also on the cross-country and track and field teams in high school. I love to read both fiction and non-fiction, taking in television shows, and playing the occasional video game. I am a kind, patient tutor who loves to work with any student who's willing to apply themselves.
